Gunderson Black and White to Color

Image
In this project, we were to use Adobe Photoshop to convert a picture of ourselves into black and white. After converting our photo black and white, we were asked to add different colors to the picture, following three of the different color rules and using different selection and coloring techniques. The three color rules I chose to follow were monochromatic, triad, and square. I really liked the color combinations with my base color when I was checking out all of the different color rules, so I decided to pick these three. Overall, I really had a lot of fun making this project and I feel like it helped me learn more about arranging layers as well as masking things in photoshop. This project took me about four hours to complete and I am happy with how it came out.

Gunderson Logo Tag

Image
For this assignment, we were to convert our logo that we made in illustrator into a specific brush spray paint tag that we can then use on the rest of our assignments. After making the brush pre-set, we were to experiment with different colors and ways to play with our spray-paint logo. I thought that this assignment was pretty easy and I enjoyed messing around with different color combinations to make it look cool. This assignment took me about 2 hours to complete.

Photoshop Tutorials

The tools that I think will be the easiest to use are the Marquee tool, the lasso tool, the quick select tool, and the crop tool. I believe that all of these tools will be easy for me to use because they are basic selection tools that I figured out to use quickly. My favorite tool that I figured out how to use is the spot healing tool. I think that this tool is really cool and very satisfying to use, so I think it is my favorite.      I think that the hardest tools for me to use are the layers tools. These tools are personally hard for me to figure out and I found myself becoming much more confused while trying to work will all of these different layer tools. I believe that if I watch more videos about how to use the different layer tools in a picture with man

Selfie Propaganda Poster

Image
For this project, we used Adobe Illustrator to re-create a selfie picture of ourselves and make it into a propaganda/ political poster. In my project, I decided to turn my selfie into a propaganda poster for the company we all know and love called "Zoom". I personally believe that zoom is essential for future education with how the world is living with the Coronavirus. This poster is meant to convey the message that as long as you log into your zoom and go to your classes, you will be able to learn best! I believe that with the smile and logos, it convinces the audience to have a good opinion on zoom as a whole, improving the amount of schools to use Zoom for their online classes. I also chose to use a very strong and technical looking font to further push the message to get on your computer and go to class. The political poster that most influenced my design in my poster was the Kennedy and Johnson presidential poster, which goes for a simplistic approach with pictures of th

Logo Project

Image
For this project, we used Adobe Illustrator to make a personal logo. I really enjoyed this project because I had the freedom to create whatever I wanted for my logo. At the beginning of this project, we were all asked to make 5 mood boards with pictures for words that described me. The 5 words that I picked were dedication, creative, courageous, loving, and comedic. After making these mood boards, we had to draw a logo for each of the words in our notebooks. After completing the mood boards and drawing out logos for each word. I decided to choose the logo I drew out for the word "Courageous". I chose this word because I feel like it defines me very well as a person. When thinking of things to draw for this word, I instantly thought of lions and tigers, because to me they represent strength, courage, and leadership. When drawing my logo, I wanted to keep it simple, yet complex in a way. I decided to incorporate my initials into the drawing of the lion because this is my logo

Calligram Project

Image
I created this project using Adobe Illustrator and the many drawing tools that it is equipped with. The main tools that I used for my calligram were the pen tool, the ellipse tool, the rectangle tool, the text on line tool, and finally the regular text tool. The words used to draw this illustration are all taken from a letter that I wrote to myself, 20 years from now. I chose to make these words into this image because I thought it represented the way that I think and how my letter also was basically me talking in my head and expressing my thoughts to myself. I am a technical person and I feel like the picture that I used for inspiration shows the technicality of my thoughts. The font that I used helped the image flow better because they were smooth letters that did not have any sharp turns. I chose these colors because I thought that they popped and just made the image look a lot better, distinguishing the color of the brain to pink was important because that is where the most te
